...and in Yesterday's News, Carly Goes Home, Idol Fans Outraged!

Greetings everyone!

Sorry for the update delay - I was traveling yesterday and unable to update the matrix. But, fret no more, as below is the updated scores in all their glory!

(full matrix here: http://www.woodleyarchitecture.com/American_Idol_2008_WK7.pdf )

Carly's elimination was a bit unexpected, especially for those of you who had picked her to win... But, like they say... well, I don't really know what they say about that one. I think you're just out of luck!

Things are quite interesting, though! There is a heated competition for first at this point, and quite a few of you are still in this thing. Maybe David A. will go home next week to make things REALLY interesting!

See you guys next week!

Kristy Goes Home, Amy Hadley Takes First! Read on...

"So, Pete, first can I just say that I love what you're wearing tonight? And you know, I've always been a fan of yours. Tonight wasn't your best performance, but I'm still a huge fan and I love your hat! You're just great, Pete!"

"Ahem... so... I think what Paula is trying to say is that you sounded like you were singing karaoke on a cruise ship at Disneyland. Seriously. I don't think you're going home this week, but definitely not up to what you've been giving us the past few weeks. Amy Hadley, on the other hand, showed us something fresh and different tonight - kudos to her - she's in it to win it, folks."

Whew... So there you have it! Brutally honest critique from our imaginary judges. Just remember, there's five weeks left, so a lot can still change! Hang in there! Full matrix is here: http://www.woodleyarchitecture.com/American_Idol_2008_WK6.pdf and summary results can be seen below. See you next week!

WEEK 5 COMETH, MICHAEL JOHNS GOETH...

Michael Johns - going home! I think that was a bit of a surprise to everyone - most of you had him going a few weeks (at least) further... But that's how it goes!

Pete still has a commanding (one-point) lead, but there's still 6 contestants to go home... anything can happen!

Here are the current results:
